Before his retirement in 2019, Dave Edwards served as Director/General Manager of WUWM Milwaukee Public Radio for 34 years. Under his leadership, the station expanded its local programming efforts, community-based fundraising, and partnerships with many organizations in Southeastern Wisconsin. He now consults with public media organizations, and non-profit leaders, providing executive coaching and training. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Marquette University and Alverno College.
Joanne Church has been associated with Radio Research Consortium since its inception in 1981 and was named President in 2005. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the RRC, Joanne negotiates with Nielsen on behalf of non-commercial radio and continues to use her knowledge and experience in data analysis to assist stations and organizations. Prior to joining RRC, Joanne worked for the Arbitron Company for ten years performing a variety of tasks including systems design and Manager of Production and Radio Market Reports.
Craig Oliver is an audience research analyst for public radio stations. He recently served as analyst for PRX and as coordinator for Greater Public’s Benchmarks project. Craig was the co-founder and first president of PRPD, before serving as head of network operations for PRI. He was president of RRC and earlier, program director and news director of WAMU, Washington, DC.
Molly Davis is the Assistant General Manager of WFDD radio in Winston-Salem, NC. She started at WFDD in January of 2005 as Membership Marketing Coordinator, eventually rising to Assistant GM in 2015. She now oversees several areas of station operations including compliance, development and marketing, and listener engagement. Molly has presented at the national Public Media Development and Marketing Conference and has mentored other stations on compliance matters and development and listener engagement strategies. She is a data hound and has successfully used data to drive significant increases in revenue.
Steve Schram is the Director of Michigan Public Media and as CEO, he oversees Michigan Radio. Before joining Michigan Public Media in 2006, Steve served as Senior Vice President/General Manager of Detroit radio stations WOMC and WYCD, as well as Director of Sales for CBS Radio’s six station market cluster. Prior to his work for CBS, he was Senior Vice President for AOL and Market Executive/Vice President for Clear Channel Radio in Detroit. He is a past President and current Board Member of the Michigan Association of Public Broadcasters and serves as vice-chair for the Greater Public Board of Directors.
Jim Taszarek, Jr.
Jim Taszarek is president and co-founder of Market Enginuity. Jim has 25+ years of media experience. In 1999, he co-founded the company now called Market Enginuity to provide corporate sponsorship sales for KJZZ in Phoenix. In the 19 years since then, Market Enginuity has added offices throughout the country and currently represents local and national sponsorship for a mix of 17 public media stations and large podcast networks
Scott Williams worked at public radio stations for 43 years from 1976 through 2019. He was a Program Director and Director of Audience Research in the Seattle and Phoenix markets. He has been involved in many training projects including PRPD’s PD Workshops, Morning Edition Graduate School, and Arbitron University. He is currently consulting with public radio stations throughout the country.
