Edwards, who has led Milwaukee Public Radio since 1985, has increased local fundraising, built a new state of the art facility and expanded news coverage. WUWM was among the first public radio stations to convert to an all news and information format. WUWM also participated in the national "Sense of Place" research project designed to help focus local news coverage. Dave is a member of the University / Station Alliance board and also serves on the NPR board.
Joanne Church has been associated with Radio Research Consortium since its inception in 1981 and was named President in 2005. Joanne also oversees the production process of RRC Product Packages that Nielsen subscribers purchase. Before the RRC, Joanne worked for Arbitron (now Nielsen) for ten years in various positions including systems design, and Manager of Production and Radio Market Reports.
Molly Davis is the Assistant General Manager of WFDD radio in Winston-Salem, NC. She started at WFDD in January of 2005 as Membership Marketing Coordinator, eventually rising to Assistant GM in 2015. She now oversees several areas of station operations including compliance, development and marketing, and listener engagement. Molly has presented at the national Public Media Development and Marketing Conference and has mentored other stations on compliance matters and development and listener engagement strategies. She is a data hound and has successfully used data to drive significant increases in revenue.
Craig Oliver is a research consultant for Public Radio International, The Development Exchange and public radio stations. He was a co-presenter of PRPD's Beyond the Basics workshop. Craig was the co-founder and first president of PRPD, before serving as head of network operations for PRI. For WAMU, Washington DC, Oliver was program director and news director. In between stints elsewhere, Craig served as President of RRC.
Steve Schram is the Director of Michigan Public Media. As CEO, he oversees Michigan Radio, the state’s most listened to public radio station. Before joining Michigan Public Media in 2006, Steve served as Senior Vice President/General Manager of Detroit radio stations WOMC and WYCD, as well as Director of Sales for CBS Radio’s six station market cluster. Prior to his work for CBS, he was Senior Vice President for AOL and Market Executive/Vice President for Clear Channel Radio in Detroit. He is the Immediate Past President and a Board Member of the Michigan Association of Public Broadcasters.
Jim Taszarek, Jr. is president and co-founder of Market Enginuity. Jim has 25+ years of media experience. In 1999, he co-founded the company now called Market Enginuity to provide corporate sponsorship sales for KJZZ in Phoenix. In the 19 years since then, Market Enginuity has added offices throughout the country and currently represents local and national sponsorship for a mix of 17 public media stations and large podcast networks.
Scott Williams has been a program director since 1976, and has headed programming at all-news KJZZ and classical KBAQ in Phoenix since 1989. Williams served on the Public Radio Program Directors Association board, chaired the group for two years and has led its annual PD workshop for 13 years. He was a trainer for RRC workshops for four years, and he is also part of Strategic Programming Partners, currently leading the Morning Edition Grad School project. He was teaching assistant for Howard Stern's first communications class at Boston University.
